Chitra Awarded Contract to Support U.S. Army Research Laboratory

Chitra was again selected to support the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Army Research Laboratory (DEVCOM-ARL) to develop and execute processes and procedures for a student research program. This program is critical to the Army’s efforts to attract professional talent from the ranks of leading Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) colleges and universities. The program will improve the Army’s access to a young, professional core of STEM students by paving the way to internships and potential future employment.

In response to the award, Mr. Mark Manns, Chitra’s Chief Growth Officer, said “Chitra is very pleased that DEVCOM has once again trusted us to facilitate the Army’s research and development community outreach into the STEM programs at our leading universities across the Nation. Our Army’s strength comes from our Soldiers and their ability to fight with technological weapons that outmatch those of our adversaries. Chitra is proud to do our part to help maintain that battlefield advantage.”

Chitra is a Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) based in Virginia Beach, Virginia. They provide training, cybersecurity, engineering, and logistics support to the Department of Defense (DoD) and other Federal Government agencies.
