Chitra Awarded Contract to Support U.S. Army Research and Development Programs
Chitra was selected to support the development of a Cadet and Faculty Research Program that leverages Army and Department of Defense (DoD) research investments to facilitate the education and training of the Nation’s future Officer Corps and scientific workforce and strengthen the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Army Research Laboratory (DEVCOM-ARL) and overall DoD commitments to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). The program will improve access to scientific and technical information pertaining to the defense mission and encourage stronger participation of Senior Military College faculty and Cadets in DoD research and education programs and activities.
In response to the award, Ms. Vibhaa Vermani, Chitra’s owner and CEO, said “We are honored to support this tremendous effort, which will contribute to the development of the Army’s future battlefield capabilities. In a time when near-peer militaries and nations threaten our national interests around the world, it is important that our Nation leverage STEM disciplines in order to maintain our technological advantage.”
